- As someone from Nghe An, what are you most proud of about your hometown?

- My homeland has so much to be proud of. It's the birthplace of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the birthplace of many famous figures, and the birthplace of the heroic Nghe An - Thinh Hoa Soviet. Since the founding of the Party, my homeland has gained even more pride in its Party members from Nghe An.

- Party members from Nghe An, just like other party members, have nothing to be proud of.

- During the Nghe An - Thinh Hoa Soviet movement of 1930-1931, Nghe An Party members led the nation, raising the red flag with the hammer and sickle and charging into the front lines, striking fear into the enemy. In imperialist prisons, Nghe An Party members remained steadfast and courageous, refusing to succumb to the brutal torture of the enemy. Countless examples of loyal communists were Nghe An Party members. In the two protracted wars of resistance against France and the United States, Nghe An Party members were present on battlefields everywhere, contributing their blood and lives to glorious victories. Throughout the 85-year history of our Party accompanying the nation, wherever there was hardship and difficulty, there were Nghe An Party members.

- In the process of reform, have Party members from Nghe An been able to maintain their pioneering role as before?

- Entering the period of reform, with the development of the market economy, social life has undergone profound changes. Some people are dynamic and adapt quickly to the market economy, thus playing a very good role. However, some are slow to embrace new things and have become conservative and stagnant. Some even exhibit narrow-minded and clinging to outdated ideas.

So how can we continue to promote the pioneering role of Party members from Nghe An?

- Most importantly, we must innovate ideological work to suit the current realities. We must make every Nghe An Party member understand their historical mission in the cause of reform. Promoting unwavering loyalty is necessary, but even more important is that Nghe An Party members must renew their thinking and equip themselves with the knowledge and skills to meet the demands of a market economy.
