Hoang Mai District: Summary of the distribution and use of Party newspapers in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 30th, the Propaganda Department of Hoang Mai Town Party Committee held a conference to summarize the work of speakers and oral propaganda; the distribution and use of Party newspapers in 2014, and to implement tasks for 2015. Representatives from the leadership of the Propaganda Departments of the Provincial Party Committee; and Comrade Vo Van Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, attended and directed the conference.

Comrade Vo Van Dung presented certificates of commendation to collectives and individuals for their work in publishing the Party newspaper, as well as for their work as speakers and oral propagandists in 2014.

In 2014, the team of speakers and propagandists at all levels in the town focused on innovating and diversifying oral propaganda methods. Currently, the town has 51 comrades in charge of oral propaganda (including 1 provincial-level speaker, 15 town-level speakers, 10 comrades who are heads of the Propaganda Departments of communes and wards, and 30 comrades who are speakers of the Party Committees and Party Branches directly under the town). The team of speakers has contributed to effectively carrying out ideological work on the land clearance for the upgrading and expansion project of National Highway 1A section passing through the town; essential projects and works in the town; the security and order situation in the town; the socio-economic situation, and the orientation of ideological work on building Hoang Mai town; especially focusing on disseminating Resolution 11 of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on building and developing Hoang Mai town until 2020 and beyond...

The purchase and use of Party newspapers have been given attention and guidance by the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee. 100% of Party branches subscribe to the daily Nghe An newspaper. In addition, the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee subscribes to the Nghe An newspaper for 11 veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-revolutionary cadres, and former members of the District Party Committee Standing Committee or higher residing in the town. Currently, dozens of types of newspapers and magazines are subscribed to by readers in the town, with a total circulation reaching 94,508 copies as of the fourth quarter of 2014. This includes 40,450 copies of the Nhan Dan newspaper and 84,330 copies of the Nghe An newspaper. Many communes and wards have subscribed to and exceeded the daily Nghe An Newspaper for their Party branches, such as Quynh Phuong, Quynh Loc, Quynh Xuan wards, the Party Committee of the town's Party and mass organizations, and the Party Committee of the town's government agencies... Many localities and units have allocated large sums of money to purchase Party newspapers and magazines, such as Quynh Xuan with nearly 60 million VND, Quynh Vinh with 45 million VND, Quynh Loc with over 46 million VND, and Quynh Trang with 37 million VND per year... The Hoang Mai Town Newsletter has published 11 issues, with a circulation of 500-700 copies per issue, 40 pages, ensuring quality in content and attractive design.

At the conference, the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives for their outstanding achievements in purchasing and using Nghe An Newspaper in 2014, and the Standing Committee of Hoang Mai Town Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 4 individuals for their achievements in the work of reporters and oral propaganda in 2014.
