Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung emphasized: The completion of Nam Can Bridge, Kenh Cai Tat Bridge, Sau Nan Bridge, and Trai Luoi Bridge has realized the long-standing dream of “crossing the river without relying on a ferry” of the people of Ngoc Hien and Nam Can districts. This is an especially important condition for these two districts to develop their socio-economy faster and more sustainably, ensure stronger national security and defense, and improve the lives of people in the region and the area.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung emphasized the importance of putting Nam Can Bridge into use: “We have connected the roads, first of all National Highway 1 from Lang Son and Ho Chi Minh Road from Cao Bang. With the completion of Nam Can Bridge and the bridges in the project cluster, the road has been connected to Ngoc Hien District, the southernmost district of the country, the district that embraces the entire Ca Mau Cape. Thus, it can be said that we can travel by road from this last piece of land to the northernmost piece of land, Lang Son, Cao Bang on National Highway 1 and Ho Chi Minh Road without having to cross the river by ferry. We can connect the roads across the entire country from the North to the southernmost piece of land, the last piece of land of the country.”
