Song Lam Nghe An wants to loan back Cong Vinh.

The Nghe An team wants to loan the striker born in 1985 for the second half of the 2015 V-League season.

“Recently, Cong Vinh hasn't been favored by coach Le Thuy Hai, while we are currently lacking a good striker. Therefore, when Binh Duong came to Vinh to play in the fourth round of the V-League 2015, I suggested to the club president Tran Van Duong that Song Lam Nghe An loan Cong Vinh for the second half of the season,” said Nguyen Hong Thanh, General Director of Song Lam Nghe An Football Joint Stock Company.

Binh Duong promised to consider Song Lam Nghe An's proposal, but there has been no response yet. Leaders of the reigning V-League champions stated that although Cong Vinh hasn't played regularly recently, he remains a strategic player for the team.

Cong Vinh scored to help Binh Duong win 3-1 against Can Tho in round six, but coach Le Thuy Hai said he is not yet guaranteed a starting spot in the next round.

Binh Duong recruited Cong Vinh ahead of the 2015 season with a three-year contract and a signing bonus of seven billion VND. It wasn't until the sixth round of the V-League, which took place last weekend, that the striker born in 1985 made his first start and scored his first goal for the reigning champions in the V-League.

“After Cong Vinh’s contract expired, Song Lam Nghe An really wanted to keep him, but we couldn’t reach an agreement. The team wanted to sign a one-year contract, while Cong Vinh wanted a three-year contract. Reluctantly, Song Lam Nghe An had to let this player go to Binh Duong,” Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh added.

After Cong Vinh's departure, the Nghe An team recruited Abubakar and Bosman with an average salary and signing bonus of 300 million VND per month each. However, these two players proved to be a major disappointment; Abubakar was considered a "wooden-footed" player, while Bosman frequently found himself on the bench. Currently, the Nghe An team is relying on two newly promoted domestic strikers, Phuc Tinh and Tuan Tai.
