(Baonghean) - Letter from Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to cadres, members, and youth of Nghe An province:

Dear comrades, officials, members, and youth throughout the province!

On the occasion of the 5th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An Province, term 2014-2019, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all comrades, officials, members, and young people throughout the province.

I am very pleased to see that the youth of Nghe An have inherited and promoted the fine traditions of their homeland, always demonstrating a pioneering, volunteer, and creative role, readily taking on new and challenging tasks; actively participating in socio-economic development and maintaining national defense and security. From the Youth Union and the Federation of Youth Associations, many exemplary young people have emerged, excelling in studies, scientific research, labor, combat, production, and business, earning recognition from society. The Party Committee and people of the province highly appreciate and acknowledge the important contributions of the youth force in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

Currently, the Party Committee and people of the entire province are striving to fulfill the targets of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress; especially focusing on implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the development of Nghe An province until 2020, aiming to build Nghe An into a relatively prosperous province in the Northern region by 2015, creating a foundation to basically become an industrial province and an economic and cultural center of the North Central region by 2020. This major goal has been and is being set for the Party Committee, armed forces, and people of the province to resolutely strive for, with youth being an extremely important pioneering force.

I hope that the youth of our province will actively train, strive, live with ideals and ambitions, possess courage, responsibility, and competence. They should strive to compete in learning and creative work, access and master science and technology, overcome difficulties, rise up to establish themselves and their careers, legitimately enrich themselves, and contribute their youthful energy to building a more developed Nghe An province.

On this occasion, I propose that Party committees, government agencies, organizations, associations, and the entire society pay close attention to young people, creating favorable conditions for the Youth Union and the Federation of Youth Associations to operate effectively, so that young people can contribute their intellect and youthful energy to the cause of national renewal.

The Party Committee and the people have always placed their trust in the younger generation of the province.
