President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is ready to open to the public from December 6

On the afternoon of December 4, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc inspected the periodic restoration of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum. Also attending the inspection was Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Minister of National Defense.

According to the report of Major General Nguyen Van Cuong, Head of the Mausoleum Management Board, since September 5, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board has organized the implementation of work to preserve President Ho Chi Minh's body and periodically repair and maintain the Mausoleum.

After three months of restoration, Uncle Ho's body was preserved in the best condition. The Board managed and safely operated the technical equipment system, ensuring efficiency and energy savings, meeting the requirements for parameters serving the preservation of Uncle Ho's body and the visitation ceremony; completed the maintenance and repair plan for the equipment system and architecture of the Mausoleum and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs to ensure quality and on schedule.

The landscape, architecture, and environment have been renovated to be spacious, clean, and beautiful, in accordance with the architecture of the area. The Mausoleum Management Board has organized a general cleaning of the Mausoleum, the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs, and the surrounding areas, and is ready to open the Mausoleum to welcome and serve the people and international visitors to visit Uncle Ho on the morning of Saturday, December 6.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised and highly appreciated the achievements and contributions of the Mausoleum Management Board, especially the soldiers of the Mausoleum Management Board who have tried and made efforts to complete the tasks assigned by the Party and State in the periodic restoration of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in 2014.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that the collective of officers and soldiers of the Mausoleum Management Board need to be deeply aware of the task of preserving and absolutely protecting the safety of President Ho Chi Minh's body in the long term, and the task of ensuring security of the Mausoleum and the Mausoleum area is a responsibility and honor entrusted by the Party, State and people.

The Deputy Prime Minister directed the Mausoleum Management Board to continue to embellish the architecture of the Mausoleum and Ba Dinh Square to promote the political and cultural significance of the project; strictly maintain combat readiness regulations; coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi City to ensure security and safety of the Mausoleum, the National Assembly, Ba Dinh Square and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs.

The Mausoleum Management Board needs to ensure the construction progress of the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House to expand visits to the K9 Relic Site starting in 2016.

The Deputy Prime Minister agreed with the proposal of the Mausoleum Management Board on implementing the contents of the Project “Long-term preservation, absolute safety protection of President Ho Chi Minh’s body and promoting the political and cultural significance of the Mausoleum in the new period;” especially the projects that have been listed and submitted to the Government for step-by-step upgrading so that the central area of ​​the Mausoleum is more beautiful, more solemn, and more secure.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that the Mausoleum Management Board will excellently fulfill its assigned tasks, safely preserve Uncle Ho's body, and beautify the landscape of the area.
