On the 30th day of the Lunar New Year, a cold front swept across the entire northern region, bringing temperatures down to around 13-16 degrees Celsius, with light rain.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, there will be intermittent cold spells between now and the Lunar New Year, but the cold weather will not last long. However, because late-season cold air often moves eastward, it will cause light rain and drizzle.

On the first day of Tet (Lunar New Year), the North experienced cold and rainy weather.

Specifically, from February 5-9 (i.e., from the 17th to the 21st of the lunar month), the North will experience a cold spell, with the possibility of severe cold (below 13 degrees Celsius). After that, the temperature will gradually rise.

From February 19th to 21st (the 1st to 3rd day of the Lunar New Year), due to the influence of a cold front, the entire northern region will experience a return to cold weather. However, according to the assessment of the Central Meteorological and Hydrological Center, the lowest temperature during this cold spell will only be around 13-16 degrees Celsius and is unlikely to cause ice or snow in mountainous areas.

From February 22nd onwards (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), the temperature gradually increased.

In central Vietnam, the cold air mass weakened upon reaching the area, so temperatures didn't drop too low. However, there was light rain during the Lunar New Year holiday.

In the South and Southwest regions, the weather during the Lunar New Year of the Goat was milder than usual, so it wasn't excessively hot. Tidal surges were low.
