Focus on ensuring the people can enjoy the Lunar New Year celebrations.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 6th, under the chairmanship of Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with the Secretaries of the district, city, and town Party Committees and directly affiliated Party Committees to hear about the implementation of tasks in January and to deploy key tasks for February 2015.

Comrades Tran Hong Chau – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and other members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, representatives from several provincial departments and agencies attended the briefing meeting.

Overview of the conference

The conference focused on evaluating the leadership and direction of the province's political tasks in January 2015. To date, localities have focused on directing spring crop production, emphasizing adherence to the planting schedule. The New Rural Development movement continues to be promoted, with the goal of having an additional 87 communes achieving New Rural Development standards in 2015. Industrial production, services, and investment attraction continue to show positive developments.

Tran Cong Duong, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, reported on the results of leadership and direction in implementing political tasks and Party building in January 2015.

In the socio-cultural field, a successful ceremony was held to honor and receive the Certificate recognizing Nghe Tinh folk songs as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Activities aimed at helping the poor were intensified, with over 260 organizations and individuals donating nearly 31.45 billion VND to assist the poor. 3,349 tons of rice were distributed to districts for the poor during the Lunar New Year of 2015. Efforts to combat smuggling, counterfeit goods, and fake products were strengthened; a high-intensity campaign to crack down on crime and social vices was launched, effectively addressing related issues and ensuring security and social order during the Tet holiday. Party building and the construction of the political system were emphasized. Preparations for Party congresses at all levels were focused on by Party committees, ensuring timely progress.

Representatives from the Provincial Police reported on the increasing number of crimes related to the trading and transportation of firecrackers and counterfeit goods.

Tran Van Cuong, Secretary of the Dien Chau District Party Committee, reflected on several issues occurring in the district.

Thai Khac Thu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc, suggested that Party committees at all levels pay attention to leading and directing the use of support resources from enterprises to ensure they reach the right impoverished people.

At the conference, districts, cities, and towns raised a number of difficulties and obstacles in the leadership and direction process, as well as pressing and prominent issues arising at the grassroots level, seeking guidance from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and coordination from provincial-level departments to focus on resolving them.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - provided information on a number of issues of interest to the delegates.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc requested that the secretaries of the district, city, and town Party committees focus on leading and directing efforts to care for the people during Tet, especially the poor and families entitled to preferential policies; provide timely relief rice, resolutely ensuring that no household suffers from hunger or cold during Tet; manage festivals well to ensure they are healthy and safe; ensure security and order before, during, and after Tet; and promote the Tet tree planting movement.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the key tasks for February focus on organizing a meeting with investors at the beginning of the Year of the Goat, coinciding with the announcement ceremony of the Vinh City planning; promoting the development of industrial production, services, and tourism. Focus on directing the preparation for Party congresses at all levels, especially at the grassroots level. Concentrate on completing the targets of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2010-2015 term; conduct a review and draw lessons from the ceremony honoring Nghe Tinh folk songs. Request the Provincial People's Committee to allocate resources to promptly provide cement to localities for new rural construction; and to support investment attraction projects and basic construction projects....
