Opening Vietnam-Russia flight route

On the morning of November 24, in Moscow, within the framework of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's official visit to Russia, Vietjet Air announced plans to open flights between Vladivostok and Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, and Phu Quoc.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and many senior officials from Vietnam and Russia attended the ceremony.

Flights from Hanoi to Vladivostok are expected to begin operating in May 2015, initially with a frequency of 3 round trips per week, with an average flight time of about 5 hours and 30 minutes per leg.

With a new, modern fleet, quality aviation products and services and cost savings, the flight route connecting localities of the two countries has come into operation to meet the needs of cultural exchange, tourism cooperation, and cargo transportation between the two countries, contributing to promoting the good and long-lasting cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Russia.

Following the opening of the Hanoi-Vladivostok route, Vietjet will continue to operate flights between other provinces and cities of the two countries. At the same time, Vietjet also has plans to connect this route to countries in the Southeast Asian region such as Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore with a stopover in Vietnam.
