Dien Chau: Traffic accident leaves a married couple seriously injured.

(Baonghean.vn) - At 2:30 PM on February 10th, a serious accident occurred on National Highway 1A, in the section belonging to Dien An commune, Dien Chau district (Den Cuong).

A Sirius motorbike with license plate 37K2 - 7839 was rear-ended by a Lead motorbike with license plate 37B1 - 84.75 (the owners of both motorbikes are currently unknown).

Eyewitnesses to the accident said: “At the time of the accident, the two vehicles were traveling in the same direction at high speed. However, while in motion, the vehicle with license plate 37K2 - 7839 suddenly braked sharply. At that moment, the driver of the vehicle with license plate 37B1 - 984.75 couldn't react in time and crashed straight into the back of the other vehicle.”

As a result, two people in the vehicle 37B1-984.75 suffered multiple injuries. The driver of the vehicle 37K2-7839 sustained only minor injuries. Immediately, local residents and traffic police at the Dien An weighing station took the victims to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Reportedly, the two seriously injured victims were a married couple on their way to Vinh City to shop for Tet (Lunar New Year). The driver of the Sirus was also on his way home after buying peach blossoms for Tet.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
