(Baonghean.vn) - We went to Tay Son commune (Ky Son) in the last days of January, winding along the steep mountain road were the blooming flowers of the reeds, the sát flowers, the lau flowers... blending with the layers of red and yellow leaves like a multi-colored painting.

These days, the winter weather is warmer, on the newly built concrete roads, the villagers, people carrying firewood, ginger… are busy and hurriedly preparing for the upcoming Tet holiday.

Tay Son is a commune of 100% Mong ethnic people. The commune has 6 villages, with nearly 300 households. In recent years, thanks to the attention of the Party, the State, and authorities at all levels... the lives of Tay Son people have made remarkable progress, the poverty rate has dropped to only 55.3%. In particular, people have known how to take advantage of their strengths to develop buffalo and cow breeding, and grow key crops for goods.

Since ancient times, Tay Son has been called the “prefecture” of peach blossoms. The peach growing area in Tay Son is not as large as in some other areas of Ky Son district such as: Muong Long, Nam Can… but peach blossoms in Tay Son have a strange beauty that cannot be found anywhere else. Large peach blossoms, branches bent in all shapes are the characteristics of Tay Son peaches.
