Hope from the Russia-France-Germany summit in Moscow
Speaking to the press after the end of the meeting at the Kremlin on the night of February 6 between Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to resolve the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, the Russian President's press secretary, Mr. Dmitry Peskov, said that Russia, France and Germany are drafting the content of a joint document on implementing the Minsk agreements.

"At the request of the French President and the German Chancellor, the drafting of the joint document on the possibility of implementing the Minsk agreements is underway. This document includes the proposal of the President of Ukraine and the proposals made on February 6, additional proposals of Russian President Putin... After that, these contents and proposals will be submitted for approval by all parties involved in the conflict (in Ukraine). The work will continue and the initial results will be announced on February 7, during the Normandy format phone call at the highest level," Peskov said.
The talks between the three leaders of Russia, Germany and France at the Kremlin lasted about 4 hours. After the first hour and a half of negotiations, which were conducted in a direct format without the participation of aides and without reporters, Mr. Putin, Ms. Hollande and Ms. Merkel appeared before the press. They did not make a statement but only allowed reporters to work for a few seconds, then continued the closed-door meeting.
