Removing the propeller of a fishing boat, a fisherman died

(Baonghean.vn) - While removing the anchor rope of a fishing boat that was entangled in the propeller, fisherman Bui Van Vien, born in 1962 and residing in Phu Thanh village, Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu) unfortunately drowned and died shortly thereafter.

Accordingly, at around 8:30 a.m. on February 15, while cleaning fishing gear on a fishing boat at Lach Quen port to prepare for Tet, Mr. Vien was asked by some fishermen of Son Hai commune to dive into the water to remove the anchor rope that was entangled in the propeller of a fishing boat of Son Hai commune anchored at Lach Quen port. After Mr. Vien dived into the water to remove the anchor rope from the propeller, he was not seen on the boat. Thinking that something was wrong, some fishermen jumped down to look for him and discovered that Mr. Vien was stuck at the bottom of the boat - the position where Mr. Vien was removing the propeller of the boat's engine after drowning.
