During its existence, Dinh Dong has witnessed many important events in local and national history. In particular, during the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement (1930-1931) and the August Revolution in 1945, Dinh Dong was the meeting place of the local Party cell and a place for speeches, propaganda, and mobilizing the masses to participate in demonstrations, against the colonial and feudal regimes, and to support the revolutionary movement to seize power. In addition, the communal house is also a place to preserve many artifacts and sacrificial objects of historical, cultural, and artistic value, contributing to the preservation, promotion, and research of the land and people of Nghe An in general and Yen Thanh homeland in particular.
Currently, the Dong communal house relic is being protected, cared for, and promoted by the Party Committee and people of Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of local people and increasingly becoming a spiritual and cultural address and contributing to educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride and self-respect for the younger generations.
