Ky Son: Arts and Sports Competition for Cultural Villages

(Baonghean.vn) - From December 15-17, 2014, in Muong Xen Town, the People's Committee of Ky Son District organized the 3rd Arts and Sports Competition for Cultural Villages (Cluster 2, including Tay Son, Pha Danh, Nam Can, Ta Ca communes and Muong Xen Town).

The purpose of the competition is to encourage the development of cultural, artistic, and sports movements throughout the district, to create motivation for cultural villages to maintain their recognized titles, and to provide an opportunity for ethnic minorities to preserve their cultural values. At the same time, it aims to identify outstanding individuals for further training and development.

The competition was captivating, featuring a spectacular cultural performance showcasing the unique traditions of the highlands. The sports competition was lively, with traditional events such as stick pushing, crossbow shooting, throwing the "con" (a type of ball), and volleyball.

The 3rd Arts and Sports Festival of Cultural Villages was divided into 5 clusters according to geographical areas, and was held sequentially from the beginning of December 2014 to mid-January 2015.
