Conflict over alcohol, stabbed neighbor with knife
(Baonghean.vn) - After being refused a drink, Ha and Mr. Thanh had an argument. Angry, Ha ran home, grabbed a Thai knife and stabbed Mr. Thanh 6 times, causing the victim to collapse on the spot.
On the morning of March 2, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Dinh Hai, investigator of the General Investigation Team, Hung Nguyen Police, said that the unit is temporarily detaining criminal suspect Le Chi Ha (born in 1980, residing in Hamlet 9A, Hung Long) to clarify the act of "Intentionally causing injury resulting in death".

Accordingly, at around 9:45 p.m. on February 27, Le Chi Ha and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh (born in 1969, both residing in hamlet 9A Hung Long) attended the wedding of the daughter of Mr. Nguyen Van Quynh (born in 1958, hamlet 9B Hung Long).
There, Mr. Thanh invited Ha to drink alcohol, but Ha refused. Then a conflict broke out between the two. Mr. Thanh rushed forward and punched Ha in the face, causing minor injuries.
Angry, Le Chi Ha ran home, grabbed a 25cm long Thai knife and stabbed Mr. Thanh repeatedly, causing the victim to collapse on the spot. After committing the crime, Ha fled the scene.
Immediately afterwards, local people took Mr. Thanh to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. The victim was then transferred to Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi) for emergency treatment. However, due to the severity of his injuries, doctors completed procedures to send the victim home.
At 8:30 a.m. on March 1, Mr. Thanh died at his home.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Dinh Hai, the autopsy results showed that the victim died from a severed aorta. The victim suffered 6 cuts all over his body, the most serious being on his left arm and neck.
Also according to Lieutenant Colonel Hai, on the night of February 27, based on a tip from the public, the investigation agency arrested Le Chi Ha while he was hiding in the locality and seized the murder weapon at the scene. It is known that Ha is an employee of a media company in Hanoi, and had just divorced his wife before Tet.
"We are currently detaining the suspect and continuing to clarify evidence to proceed with legal proceedings," said Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Dinh Hai.
