According to France Info, 15 masked and armed robbers attacked two armored vehicles on the A6 highway near the Avallon toll station in the Yonne province of central France. The vehicles belonged to Témis, a company specializing in transporting high-value goods, and were en route from Paris to Besançon. The robbers stole all the goods, including jewelry, diamonds, and works of art, worth approximately 9 million euros (204 billion VND).

According to preliminary investigations, the robbers had meticulously planned the attack and likely knew the routes and schedules of the two vehicles. BFMTV, citing its own sources, reported that the incident happened quickly; after stopping the vehicles, the robbers did not fire shots but instead sprayed tear gas at the Témis security personnel. Some immediately drove away in armored vehicles, while the rest followed in four high-powered cars. The local court confirmed yesterday that no one was injured in the incident.

Security forces found two Témis vehicles burned in a field not far from the scene of the robbery. According to L'Yonne Républicaine, the robbers fled towards Paris. French police and gendarmes are now actively searching for this dangerous gang.

According to Le Figaro, citing the annual report of the French police, robberies of armored vehicles have increased significantly since 2012, with thieves often striking while the vehicles are in motion on the road.
