During the process of towing the sunken ship to the shore of Phu Lien village, Quynh Long commune, an accident occurred due to a broken rope, injuring many people, including women. Specifically, at 1:00 p.m. on November 12, while the local authorities of Quynh Long and Son Hai communes had no specific plan or measures to bring the ship to shore, the vehicle owner asked the people of Phu Lien village (Quynh Long) and some people of Son Hai commune to help pull the ship to shore.

Due to the rope not being secured, along with the strength of hundreds of people, the rope broke, knocking down a group of about 10 people pulling the train, injuring 7 people, some fainted on the spot, including Mr. Le Van Hung (Phu Lien Village, Quynh Long Commune) who was seriously injured in the face and had to be taken to the emergency room at Quynh Luu District General Hospital. Immediately after that, Mr. Hung was transferred to Hospital 115 for facial surgery, with an initial cost of nearly 20 million VND.

Faced with the above situation, the local government of Quynh Long commune immediately organized a meeting, assigned specific tasks to the relevant organizations and departments, coordinated with the local government of Son Hai commune and the vehicle owner's family, mobilized the entire population, bought large ropes to ensure that 2,000 people could pull the boat without breaking, tied them to the hull of the boat, and directly commanded the boat pulling by Mr. Tran Quang Ve - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Long commune.

Early in the morning of November 13, thousands of people, including the elderly, young, men, women, and militia, participated. At about 9:30, the ship in distress was pulled to the shore of Phu Lien village, Quynh Long commune. The ship was quite badly damaged, with a broken bow, broken hull, and many holes in the bottom. Some metal parts and machinery on the ship were gradually rusting due to being submerged in seawater.

It is known that this ship was just built for 1.5 billion VND, this was the third voyage when the accident happened.
