Tan Ky: Young man commended for bravely rescuing people in distress.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 25, 2015, the People's Committee of Tan Ky district visited to offer condolences and presented a certificate of commendation from the Chairman of the People's Committee of the district to Bui Dang Hoi, born in 1995, residing in Tan Dong hamlet, Dong Van commune, for his courageous act of rescuing a person in distress.

Previously, on the afternoon of February 22, 2015, which was the 4th day of the Lunar New Year (Year of the Goat), after visiting relatives for the New Year, Nguyen Van Tuan, a classmate of Bui Dang Hoi, took a small boat for a stroll at Thanh Chuong Dam in Tan An commune when the boat unfortunately capsized. Seeing this, Bui Dang Hoi and Nguyen Van Ha bravely swam out to rescue their friend. Because he was still wearing his clothes, after rescuing his friend, Bui Dang Hoi became exhausted and drowned, resulting in his death.

Local authorities and a large number of people came to offer condolences to Hợi's family.

In recognition of Bui Dang Hoi's courageous act, the Chairman of the Tan Ky District People's Committee decided to award him a certificate of commendation and a cash prize of 3 million VND. On this occasion, the government and relevant departments also visited to offer condolences to Hoi's family.
