The Academy of Journalism will admit students based on their 2015 National High School Examination scores, divided into three groups. Group 1 includes Journalism; Group 2 includes Philosophy, Economics, History, Party Building and State Administration, Political Science, Publishing, Sociology, and Social Work; Group 3 includes International Relations, Public Relations, Advertising, and English Language.

Specifically, the Journalism major will have an additional aptitude test. This test will consist of two parts: multiple-choice and essay questions.

The multiple-choice section (3 points) consists of 30 questions, with a time limit of 30 minutes: testing general knowledge of social issues. The essay section (7 points) consists of 2 questions, with a time limit of 120 minutes.

Question 1 in the essay section of the exam presents a news article containing errors (regarding political viewpoints, text structure, logic, writing style, language use, etc.), and then asks candidates to correct and improve the text in their own way. This type of question aims to assess the ability to process and express information and use language in constructing and perfecting written texts.

For question 2, the format might be: providing information about an issue or event, requiring candidates to write an essay of up to 500 words to assess their ability to identify problems and express personal opinions.

The total time for the journalism aptitude test is 150 minutes. The aptitude test is designed and graded by the Academy.

Additionally, admission scores are determined by major and specialization based on the total scores of the required subjects for each group of majors, ranked from highest to lowest. Subjects in group 1 and group 2 are weighted with a coefficient of 1, while English in group 3 is weighted with a coefficient of 2.
