Gun suspected to be murder weapon found at karaoke bar

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of December 29, public sources said that people handed over the gun to Department PC45, Nghe An Provincial Police to serve the investigation.

According to the reporter's observation, the pistol-shaped gun was about 160cm long, the gun case was labeled RG-88, made in Germany, serial number RC132010573. At the time of discovery, the gun still had rubber bullets inside.

The gun discovered by people is suspected to be the murder weapon.

Immediately after discovery, people reported and handed over to the police force of Department PC45, provincial police.

According to an investigator, the RG-88 uses rubber bullets, the magazine has 7 bullets and has an effective range of 5-25m. After examining the gun, the investigation agency will complete the case file for processing.

Previously, at around 7:45 p.m. on December 23, Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1979, residing in Nghi Duc commune, Vinh city) was attending a party with friends at Duc Loc coffee and karaoke shop (village 12, Nghi Duc) when two strange young men called him out and shot him 3 times.

After committing the crime, the two young men tried to flee the scene but were surrounded and beaten by Thanh's group of friends. The person who directly fired the gun was knocked out and unconscious at the scene. The subject and Thanh were taken to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment immediately afterwards.

The two perpetrators were identified as Tran Van Minh (born in 1982, residing in Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc) and his younger brother Tran Van Duc. Minh was the one who held the gun and shot Thanh.

The provincial police are currently detaining the suspects to serve the investigation.
