Welcome the event of Nghe Tinh folk songs becoming a world heritage

(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the event of UNESCO honoring Nghe An's Vi and Giam folk songs as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, on the afternoon of November 28, Nghe An Newspaper coordinated with the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage to organize an exchange and discussion "Vi and Giam folk songs - representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity".

Attending the program were comrades: Ho Mau Thanh - Provincial Party Committee member - Director of Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Pham Thi Hong Toan - Provincial Party Committee member - Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, Nguyen Ngoc At - Director of Nghe An Folk Heritage Conservation and Promotion Center, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, artisans, officers, actors, artists of Nghe An Folk Heritage Conservation and Promotion Center, artisans and many fans.

At the meeting, guests, artists and audiences expressed their joy and pride when UNESCO honored Nghe folk songs; exchanged and discussed solutions to preserve and promote the value of the world's intangible cultural heritage, so that Nghe folk songs will forever exist and enter the daily life of Nghe people in particular and the world in general; contributing to adding beauty to the rich cultural identity of Nghe in the flow of integration, as well as fostering love for the homeland in the hearts of every Nghe person.

Also at the exchange, artists from the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage and students from the Folk Song Club of Ha Huy Tap Secondary School, Vinh City performed folk songs expressing love for the homeland, love for labor, love for couples and lessons on being human, such as: Fabric Ward on a Moonlit Night, Confucius' Teachings, Love for the Conical Hat Country... to the emotion of a large audience present at the exchange.
