From early morning, the North Central Gold and Silver Center was packed with people. Right in front of the counter, there was a red banner: “January 10th - God of Wealth Day, buy gold for good luck at the beginning of the year”. It was so crowded that many people had to wait for an hour to buy gold, but everyone was happy to buy gold today. Many people could not get gold in the morning, and had to come back in the afternoon to receive their gold.

Coming out of the crowd, sweating profusely, Ms. Lan Anh in Le Mao Ward still smiled and shared: I bought 1 SJC gold bar in the morning, hoping for a year of good luck and plenty of money. In the afternoon, I called my mother and sister to buy it together for luck. Although the wait was quite tiring, it was okay because this was the only day of the year.

Anticipating that customers would increase dramatically on the God of Fortune Day, the North Central Gold Branch arranged to increase staff, from 5 people on normal days to 20 people, but was still overloaded. Mr. Nguyen Duy De - Deputy Director of the branch said: We prepared 1,000 taels of gold to sell during the day, but by the end of the afternoon, we had basically sold out all of that gold. At the 3 points of sale of the branch in the city (Nguyen Van Cu, Quang Trung and Vinh market), there were many customers. Last year there were about 2,000 customers, but this year it is expected to increase 3 times. All customers who buy gold are issued invoices. Meeting Ms. Hong and her son in Van Tien - Hung Dung block, she happily said: Being a farmer is not very rich, but last Tet, my son came back from the South to give my parents some money to spend on Tet, so I contributed to buy a gold thread for luck.

At 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, all gold shops were "out of" round rings from 5 centimeters to 3 chi. We were present at the gold shops Kim Thanh Huy, Kim Dung Thong and Kim Hoa (Vinh City) where people were still crowded and jostling to buy gold. It is worth mentioning that most of the 3 gold shops mentioned above were "out of" round gold, out of round gold from 5 centimeters to 3 chi, many people accepted to buy 5 chi round rings, buy necklaces. Some bought at least once, some bought 5, 7 times, some bought dozens of times. However, the difference between buying and selling prices of gold in the North Central region is lower. SJC gold is bought at 3,555,000 VND, sold at 3,585,000 VND; 9999 gold is bought at 3,305,000 VND, sold at 3,395,000 VND. That is why the North Central Gold Center is trusted and chosen by many people because of the state gold brand, the low price difference between buying and selling is more favorable when there is a need to sell and more importantly, the quality of gold is guaranteed.

According to Circular 22/2013/TT-BKHCN, which regulates the management of measurement in gold trading and the management of the quality of gold jewelry and fine art circulating on the market. Implementing this regulation, the most difficult thing is to limit the error of gold content in gold jewelry and fine art products. Because according to the Circular, the error limit of the test results to determine gold content is specifically regulated as follows: 1% for gold with a content of 99.5% or more; 2% for gold alloys with a content of 80% to less than 99.9%; 3% for gold alloys with a content of less than 80%. Thus, only businesses with modern and advanced production lines can meet the strict conditions of Circular 22. That is also the reason why not all gold shops are crowded. Some shops have few customers on this day because of lack of reputation.

God of Wealth Day has a spiritual meaning, so customers mainly buy and the number of customers has increased compared to previous years. Despite the difficult economic situation, people's demand for gold has not been affected.
