Hoi Tho Cultural Village

(Baonghean) - Huoi Tho Cultural Village (Huu Kiem - Ky Son) has 118 households and 658 people of the Kho Mu ethnic group.

Previously, Huoi Tho was very poor and backward, with difficult farming and heavy customs. The villagers were left with nothing after two fires in 1977 and 1988. To help the people of Huoi Tho in the short term, the province, district and commune provided rice and other household items. To help the people of Huoi Tho in the long term, the Provincial Party Committee and District Party Committee focused on building a cadre apparatus here...

Since 2005, the village has mobilized people to convert crops and livestock, grow fruit trees, green tea, raise black pigs, buffaloes and cows, so hunger eradication and poverty reduction have been effective. At the end of 2013, the village had 71 poor households, now there are 53 poor households. From the community cultural house and classroom in the village, watching Huoi Tho gradually change with layers of stilt houses, concrete roads... makes me feel happy!
