Recognizing the importance of occupational safety and hygiene, and fire prevention, the Vinh Market management board has signed commitments with business owners to comply with fire safety regulations.

The Market Management Board has invested in equipping the market with 7 fire pumps, a 275 kVA generator to power the automatic fire pumps in case of power outages, 40 wall-mounted hydrants, and 360 fire extinguishers. In 2014, Vinh Market did not experience any fires or explosions. During the inspection, the inter-agency inspection team for occupational safety and fire prevention of the city acknowledged the achievements in occupational safety and fire prevention at Vinh Market, and reminded the Market Management Board to organize regular health check-ups for staff and provide fire safety training for the fire prevention force. In particular, the Market Management Board needs to remind business owners not to place goods in emergency exit areas.
