Recently declassified documents reveal that the U.S. used fascist elements as spies or informants during the Cold War.

U.S. military officials, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) used at least 1,000 Nazi spies against the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

Among these individuals were several former high-ranking officials within the Nazi Party, hired to spy for Washington in Europe.

Specifically, Otto von Bolschwing, a former SS officer under Hitler who was tasked with outlining policies to terrorize Jews, was also on the recruitment list for espionage activities in Europe.

In an effort to secure Bolschwing's loyal service, the CIA reportedly moved him and his family to New York City in the 1950s.

Another Nazi, Aleksandras Lileikis, who was involved in the massacre of tens of thousands of Jews in Lithuania, agreed to spy for the US in East Germany. He was later transferred to Boston, Massachusetts.

According to the same source, there is evidence suggesting CIA intervention to prevent Lileikis from being investigated for war crimes.

Former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover not only approved the recruitment plan but also deliberately turned a blind eye to the barbaric acts of Nazi elements throughout World War II.

These shocking revelations came a week after the American news agency AP published an investigation showing that the US government had spent millions of dollars on dozens of suspected war criminals to "force" them to leave the United States.

However, the U.S. Department of Justice later stated that the money was a social security benefit paid to individuals who voluntarily renounced their U.S. citizenship and left the country.
