Islamic State (IS) militants executed 85 more members of the Albu Nimr tribe in Iraq's Anbar province in a massacre last week in retaliation for the tribe's efforts to block IS advances, security and tribal sources said on November 1.

According to Naeem al-Ga'oud, one of the leaders of the tribe, IS killed 50 members of Albu Nimr on October 31.

In a separate incident, an Iraqi official said the bodies of 35 people were discovered in a mass grave.
Members of the Albu Nimr tribe have held out against a siege by IS militants for weeks in Anbar province, west of Badgdad, but the tribe's ammunition, fuel and food supplies have finally run out.
Hundreds of tribal warriors were forced to retreat and hundreds of tribesmen were forced to abandon their villages.
More than 300 people have been executed by IS since the massacre began in the middle of last week./.
