Horrific gunfight in Vinh City, 3 casualties

According to some people who witnessed the incident, at that time, a group of 5 young men, driving 2 motorbikes with unknown license plates, arrived in front of the house at 58 Tran Hung Dao, then got off the motorbike and knocked on the door. Immediately after that, Ms. H (the homeowner) opened the door and walked out, was suddenly hit by 2 bullets and collapsed on the spot. Seeing his wife collapse, Mr. T (Ms. H's husband) immediately grabbed a gun and ran out. The two sides used guns to shoot each other.
According to witnesses, the sudden gunfight left two environmental sanitation workers in Vinh City seriously injured. Seeing this, the group of young men got into a car and fled during the night. At the scene, there were 3 bullet holes, 2 of which were deeply embedded in the trunk of a mango tree (near house number 54).
After the incident, local people took Ms. H and two workers who were shot to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, Ms. H died shortly after.
According to private sources, the group of young men had a previous conflict with Ms. H and her husband, so they came to her house to resolve the conflict.
*On the morning of November 5, many local people gathered on the sidewalk to discuss the shooting on the night of November 4.Many people living near the scene said that at the time of the incident, they heard a series of loud gunshots and screams. The incident lasted about 10 minutes.

Mr. Tran Xuan B. (Tran Hung Dao street, living next to the scene) confirmed that he heard about 3 or 4 gunshots, at about 8:30 p.m.
“At that time, he was in front of the house, his wife was sweeping the gate. Ms. H had just brought her daughter back from the grocery store (about 30m from the house - PV) when a group of people on motorbikes and cars arrived.
This group of people went into the house. Then he heard gunshots coming from inside the house. Then there were 2,3 more loud gunshots in front of the gate. His wife panicked and ran into the yard,” Mr. B. recounted.
According to Mr. B. and some local residents, at that time, two workers of Nghe An Environmental Company Ltd. were sitting waiting for the garbage truck in front of a kiosk about 30 meters away and were unfortunately hit by stray bullets.
After about 10 minutes of shooting, the group quickly got into their car and left the scene. Mr. B. and the locals called the ward police and Police 113.
Immediately afterwards, the authorities arrived and blocked off the area around the house.
In the bedroom, the police discovered Ms. NTTH (born in 1982) lying in the middle of the house with a very serious wound in her abdomen. Fortunately, the victim's daughter, who was also in the room, was not injured.
Immediately afterwards, the authorities coordinated with local people to move all 3 victims (2 environmental workers, 1 male and 1 female) to the Emergency Department, Nghe An General Hospital. However, victim H died upon admission.

On the morning of November 5, Nghe An Provincial Police conducted an autopsy to investigate the cause.
According to Nghe An General Hospital, on the night of November 4, the male worker who was shot in the arm underwent surgery and was discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, the female worker, Đ.TC, suffered serious internal injuries and is being treated at the Emergency Resuscitation Department.
On the morning of November 5, traces at the scene and recovered bullets showed that the suspect likely used a military gun.
At the scene, bullet holes were clearly visible on the tree in front of the house, on the electric pole and a kiosk about 30 meters away.
It is known that Ms. H, her husband and two young children have been renting a 3-story house on the edge of Tran Hung Dao Street for many months now.
Currently, the investigation agency is urgently clarifying this serious incident.
