Euro 2016 Qualifiers: Agent Orange Has Arrived

After many days of silence, the orange storm finally appeared at the Amsterdam ArenA stadium. In contrast to the lackluster image in previous matches, the Netherlands team exploded, defeating Latvia with a score of 6-0.

Before entering the match against Latvia, coach Guus Hiddink announced that he would resign if the Netherlands continued to lose the match. That statement also meant a declaration of war, urging the orange players to rise up from the dead end. Then, right after the opening whistle, the home team rushed into the opponent's field in search of a goal.

Unlike previous matches, the Netherlands this morning showed a graceful, soaring appearance. The most improved factor was the finishing. In this match, Coach Hiddink arranged both Robin Van Persie and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in the starting lineup. After the break, Coach Hiddink's students continued to besiege the opponent's goal with a series of threatening situations. In that situation, it was no surprise when the orange team scored 3 more goals. In the end, the Netherlands team defeated Latvia with a score of 6-0. This victory not only helped them escape the difficult situation in Group A but also promised to open a new stage in the EURO 2016 qualifying journey.

Meanwhile, in Group B, the battle for the top spot between Belgium and Wales ended without a goal. Despite dominating possession and creating chances, the Belgians were forced to share points and finished below their opponents. Also in this group, Cyprus defeated weak opponents Andorra 5-0, including a hat-trick by Georgios Efrem.

In the late match at San Siro, Italy was held to a 1-1 draw by Croatia in a very tense and exciting match. In the 11th minute, Candreva was the one who helped the home team Italy take the lead 1-0, but only 4 minutes later Perisic equalized for Croatia. In the remaining minutes, the two teams played tit for tat, but neither side scored and had to accept the draw. In this match, fans almost ruined the match when they threw flares onto the field, forcing the referee to stop the match for 10 minutes.
