(Baonghean) - Faced with the strategic demands of Vietnam's textile and garment industry and the policy of privatization, in 2004, Vinh Yarn Factory and Hoang Thi Loan Knitting Company merged to form Hoang Thi Loan Textile and Garment Company, which was directly managed and operated by Hanoi Textile and Garment Company (now Hanoi Textile and Garment Corporation). In 2005, at the first General Shareholders' Meeting, the decision was made to establish Hoang Thi Loan Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, and the HALOTEXCO brand was born, gradually flourishing in the textile and garment market...

Throughout an assessment of the production and business results over the past 10 years, which have led to HALOTEXCO becoming the brand it is today, it can be summarized as follows: It is the courage, intelligence, dedication, and dynamism of generations of "HALOTEXCO people" who have effectively utilized support from the Hanoi Textile and Garment Corporation, the attention from Nghe An province, and maximized their resources to achieve stability and development. Many tasks had to be done from the early days of the merger: arranging human resources, innovating and investing in infrastructure, equipment, and technology, and developing production and business plans. In accordance with the regulations of a strategically important privatized enterprise, the company has improved productivity, quality, output, and efficiency; focusing on exploiting and expanding domestic and export markets, partners, and products... This means the company has directly addressed its shortcomings and limitations, seriously rectifying them, truly undergoing a transformation, and mobilizing the highest level of innovative spirit and thinking to reach new heights...

Yes - the "HALOTEXCO people" have made relentless efforts to create transformations starting from the most concrete things: mobilizing capital, investing in increasing production capacity, renovating and expanding the infrastructure system, linking and expanding markets... with timely and bold steps. After changing the logo, flag, and brand from HTLTEX to HALOTEXCO, the company has simultaneously boosted production and business, built a mission statement, maintained and developed the ISO 9001:2008 system certified by QMS; developed and promoted the HALOTEXCO brand in conjunction with the HANOSIMEX brand of its "parent" company (Hanoi Textile and Garment Corporation); in the initial phase (2005 - 2009), increased the yarn spinning capacity from 38,000 spindles to 44,000 spindles; and OE yarn from 1,904 boxes to 2,264 boxes.

Over the next five years, the company seized the opportunity, fully exploiting the potential of its existing land and factory facilities. It invested in renovating and expanding the old cotton warehouse and knitting factory, and relocated and installed equipment from HANOSIMEX, which was undergoing relocation outside of Hanoi's inner city. Simultaneously, it continued to mobilize loan capital to invest in new equipment for the initial and final stages of production to balance the production line, improve productivity, and enhance yarn quality. The total investment during this period amounted to over 150 billion VND, contributing to an increase in production capacity from 44,000 spindles to nearly 78,000 spindles; OE yarn from 2,264 boxes to 2,944 boxes; and spun yarn to 2,448 spindles, with a total yarn production capacity of nearly 16,000 tons of various types of yarn per year.

One of the key tasks in HALOTEXCO's development strategy is exploring and expanding markets, seeking domestic and international partners, a strategy the company has implemented with steady and proactive steps. As a result, the company now ensures a proactive supply of inputs and product consumption for over 1,300 tons of various types of yarn per month, with exports accounting for over 50%. The company's export markets have expanded to countries such as Egypt, Turkey, South Korea, China, the United States, and Canada. The challenges of managing human resources to meet the company's new demands, while simultaneously ensuring production and business requirements and demonstrating a humane approach towards workers, have created a continuously evolving, streamlined, and efficient organizational and management system for the company.

Currently, the company has 2 yarn factories, 1 electromechanical workshop, and 4 departments/divisions with nearly 950 staff and workers. Every year, the company prioritizes resources for training, development, and human resource development: it collaborates with Hanoi University of Science and Technology to open two training courses for textile engineers; it plans, trains, and sends key personnel to attend courses on business management; annually, it sends delegations of outstanding leaders, managers, and workers to visit and learn from other businesses; and it has policies to attract, recruit, and train technical and professional staff and skilled workers... fulfilling the directives and expectations of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (VINATEX) and the Corporation regarding providing core human resources for the development of textile and garment projects in Hong Linh, Nam Dan, etc.

Over the past 10 years, with nearly 9 years as a joint-stock company, overcoming internal obstacles and difficulties, and weathering the impact of the global financial crisis, economic recession, and the domestic economic slowdown from 2008-2013, the "HALOTEXCO people" have united their efforts to expand the company's scale, develop efficient production and business, ensure sufficient and regular employment, and gradually improve the material and spiritual living conditions of employees, affirming the role and position of the company and enhancing the reputation of the HALOTEXCO and HANOSIMEX brands. After 10 years, the total value of the company's assets increased from 41 billion VND in 2005 to nearly 300 billion VND in 2014, a 7.3-fold increase; charter capital increased from 16 billion VND to 33.6 billion VND, a 2.1-fold increase. Production and business capacity for yarn has nearly doubled, from 8,000 tons to 16,000 tons of various types of yarn. Regarding production and business efficiency, except for a short period affected by the economic recession and fluctuations in input material prices, HALOTEXCO has consistently achieved profit targets of 20% or more of its charter capital annually, ensuring dividend payments to shareholders of 10-15%, while also allocating funds for production development and ensuring welfare and reward funds for employees. The company has become the largest subsidiary within the HANOSIMEX system.

With pride and confidence, the company has taken solid steps towards sustainable development. In 2014, the company focused on leveraging its existing equipment capacity after initial investment phases, boosting yarn production and sales. Production and business results for the first nine months of the year are estimated at 510 billion VND, a 13% increase compared to the same period in 2013; yarn production reached 10,000 tons, a 15% increase compared to the same period, of which 5,200 tons were exported. Export turnover reached 12.6 million USD, an increase of 38% compared to the same period, ranking among the top 3 leading export enterprises in Nghe An province, contributing 13 billion VND to the state budget... The enterprise also ensured regular employment for nearly 950 workers, with an average income of 4,500,000 VND/person/month, aiming to reach 4,800,000 - 5,000,000 VND/person/month by the end of the year.

The company also focuses on caring for the material and spiritual well-being, policies, and social security of its employees, demonstrating humanistic values and corporate culture in its development strategy. Outstanding in its political tasks, the company's Party Committee, under the Nghe An Enterprise Bloc Party Committee, has effectively played its leading role; to date, the entire Party Committee has 182 members, 2 sub-Party Committees, and 18 Party Branches. It has been recognized by the Nghe An Enterprise Bloc Party Committee as a "Clean and Strong Party Committee" for 9 consecutive years (2005-2013), including achieving the "Outstanding Clean and Strong Party Committee" title for 2 consecutive years (2012-2013). The trade union and youth union organizations also operate effectively and are highly regarded within the system of mass organizations at all levels... All of this has contributed to building the HALOTEXCO brand and the distinctive mark of "HALOTEXCO people"...

A decade of honoring the HALOTEXCO brand, the company has achieved new stature and scale, affirming its role, position, and prestige within the HANOSIMEX and VINATEX systems, confidently contributing to the growth and development of the entire Vietnamese textile and garment industry and making a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Nghe An province. "HANOSIMEX people" have every right to be proud of themselves, proud of the tradition of a mature enterprise in the province where President Ho Chi Minh was born and named after his mother - Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan. In the spirit of shared joy at receiving the prestigious Third-Class Labor Medal, Mr. Phan Xuan Hoi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting General Director of Hoang Thi Loan Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, affirmed: “The achievements of 10 years of stability and development, and the honoring of the HALOSIMEX brand, are primarily due to the unity, consensus, and continuous efforts of the shareholders, staff, and workers of the company. In addition, the effective guidance, leadership, attention, support, and assistance from the Nghe An Enterprise Bloc Party Committee, HANOSIMEX Corporation, VINATEX Group, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and local authorities at all levels will continue to be the driving force for the company to overcome limitations, strive for sustainable development, and reach new heights.”

We believe that this new level of achievement will surely be realized in the near future on the launching pad of "HALOTEXCO people," allowing the HALOTEXCO brand to continue to thrive in the domestic and international textile market!
