The above traffic accident occurred at 1:40 p.m. on November 29, 2014 at km 386+100 of National Highway 1A in Quynh Thien Ward, Hoang Mai Town (Nghe An).

According to people who witnessed the accident, at the time of the accident, a refrigerated truck (belonging to Thanh Phat company) with license plate 79C-03817 (driver's identity not yet determined) was traveling from Thanh Hoa to Vinh to the above location to avoid a truck with license plate 99C-00215 traveling in the opposite direction. It was traveling at high speed on a narrow road due to road construction, so the two vehicles collided with each other, hitting the median. The front of the two trucks were dented, the windows were broken, and the truck driver was stuck in the cabin. People promptly used a crowbar to rescue him. Luckily, the driver only suffered minor injuries.

Upon receiving information about the accident, Hoang Mai City police promptly arrived at the scene with the authorities to investigate the cause of the incident and dispatched a rescue vehicle to promptly clear the road, avoiding congestion on the route.
