(Baonghean.vn) - In response to the 2015 National Week of Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Prevention, on the afternoon of March 18th, the Provincial Fire and Rescue Police organized a fire fighting drill at Saigon Beer-Nghe Tinh Joint Stock Company.

During the drill, the simulated scenario involved a technical electrical malfunction during production causing a motor fire that spread to other flammable materials. The fire spread rapidly along the flammable materials and threatened to engulf adjacent buildings if not extinguished promptly. Several workers were present in the factory at the time of the fire, and the blaze posed a direct threat to areas containing chemicals used in production. Upon discovering the incident, the company's fire prevention and firefighting team quickly alerted the entire area, assigned tasks to each department, simultaneously extinguished the fire, rescued victims, and contacted the provincial fire department. Shortly afterward, the fire department arrived and successfully controlled the fire, minimizing damage to the facility.

| Comments on the fire safety drill |
Following the drill, the Fire and Rescue Police leadership shared lessons learned with the company's management and members to address difficulties and obstacles in fire prevention and control. This also enhanced the coordinated firefighting efforts between businesses and the general public.
