Foreign affairs and investment attraction were strongly implemented, granting new investment certificates to 145 projects with a total registered capital of 43,892 billion VND; budget revenue reached 7,652 billion VND, up 20.7% compared to 2013.

The socio-cultural fields continued to have positive changes. Education and training continued to maintain high achievements. In particular, the Nghe Tinh Vi-Giam folk song event was honored by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
