Israel Election: Prime Minister Netanyahu's Party Wins
THX/Reuters reported that official results showed that with 99% of votes counted on the morning of March 18, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party had won a clear victory in the Israeli parliamentary election held on March 17.
According to the vote count, the Likud Party won 29 seats in the Knesset, while the left-wing Zionist Union (ZU) of Isaac Herzog came in second with 24 seats.

Israeli media described the result as a "big victory" for Mr. Netanyahu. However, the formation of a government will still depend on coalition negotiations between the country's other political parties.
