Announcing adjustments and supplements to the planning for science and technology development in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 18, the Department of Science and Technology held a ceremony to announce the adjustment and supplement to the Nghe An Science and Technology Development Plan for the period 2015-2020 to 2030. Attending the ceremony were representatives of provincial departments, branches, universities in the area, People's Committees of districts, towns, associations of small and medium enterprises... Overview of the announcement ceremony

The Decision on approving the adjustment and supplementation of the science and technology development plan of Nghe An province for the period 2015-2020 was approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in Decision No. 10/2015/QD-UBND dated March 27, 2015. According to the Decision, Nghe An will be built into a science and technology center in the North Central region in the direction of being a center for research, application, and transfer of scientific and technological achievements in the region, a center for training multi-disciplinary and multi-field scientific and technological human resources, associated with research, deployment, and technology development and technology transfer activities in the North Central region.

Strive to have the contribution of science and technology to the province's economic growth reach 25-30% by 2020; strive to have the technological level of enterprises producing key products of Nghe An reach a fairly good level compared to the whole country by 2020. The number of subjects registered for industrial property protection reaches 800, of which, from now to 2020, 100 products will be impacted by science and technology and registered with the Nghe An brand. The rate of technological innovation is 10-15% of the technology for manufacturing key products of the province invested in advanced, modern, high-tech innovation. Improve the research and transfer capacity of public science and technology organizations, fundamentally transform the organization according to Decree 115; form 10-15 science and technology enterprises; 2-3 enterprises applying high technology; form consulting and technology transfer units through socialization.

Regarding the development orientation for the period 2015-2020 with a view to 2030, 06 key provincial science and technology programs were identified for investment in selecting proposals for science and technology tasks to serve socio-economic development. These are: science and technology program serving agricultural development, science and technology program serving medicine and pharmacy, social science and humanities program, high technology application and development program, science and technology program serving natural resource and environmental protection, science and technology program serving socio-economic development of districts, cities and towns.

The ceremony also announced projects of central ministries and branches prioritized for investment attraction in the 2015-2020 period.
