Fishermen in Quynh Luu strike it rich with anchovies.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 31st, hundreds of fishing vessels from Tien Thuy and Quynh Nghia communes (Quynh Luu district) docked at Lach Quen port, celebrating a bountiful catch of anchovies.

Fishermen in Quynh Nghia are excitedly transporting their catch ashore.

After more than 5 days at sea, hundreds of fishing boats from Tien Thuy and Quynh Nghia communes have returned with hundreds of tons of various seafood, mainly anchovies. On average, each boat caught more than ten tons, and traders bought each ton of fish at the dock for 14 million VND.

Anchovies at Lach Quen port are loaded onto trucks for distribution.

Among the boats present at the port, two boats belonging to Mr. Hoang Duc Thuong from Phong Thai village and Mr. Nguyen Van Tien from Phong Tien village (Tien Thuy commune) caught over 30 tons of anchovies, earning more than 300 million VND per boat. This is a positive sign, marking the beginning of a successful new fishing season for the fishermen.

The profits from this fishing trip will contribute to boosting the morale of fishermen, giving them the confidence to venture into large fishing grounds such as Hoang Sa and Truong Sa to exploit marine resources, while simultaneously protecting and asserting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
