Nghia Son Commune: Creating an important development pole in the northwest region of Nghia Dan

(Baonghean) - Implementing the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress of the commune, term 2010 - 2015, the Party Committee and people of Nghia Son commune (Nghia Dan) have created an important change in the economic development structure, changing the face of the locality. That is also the foundation for Nghia Son to make a strong breakthrough in the next term to become a bright spot in the Northwest cluster of the district.

During the 2010 - 2015 term, Nghia Son was one of the communes in Nghia Dan district where TH Group invested in large projects on high-tech agriculture. Thereby, creating an important change in the local economic structure, shifting towards increasing the proportion of small-scale industry, trade and services, and reducing the proportion of agriculture. By 2014, the proportion of agriculture and forestry was 44%; basic construction, small-scale industry 10.9% and trade - services accounted for more than 45%. In the area, many new models of cultivation and livestock farming appeared, bringing high economic efficiency to the people.

Regarding infrastructure in the area, especially in the central area such as: traffic, power grid system... have been completed and put into effective use. In which, there is a great contribution of the people with a total amount of more than 2 billion VND to build cultural houses in hamlets such as: Son Bac, Son Doai, Son Lien, Son Nam; build concrete roads in 9 hamlets with a total length of nearly 3km... In particular, the service and trade sectors have developed quite rapidly with types such as: restaurants, motels, transportation... Those developments have increased the total annual production value in the commune rapidly. If in 2010, the total social production value only reached more than 58.8 billion VND, the growth rate was 10.5%; The production value per capita reached more than 15.2 million VND, by 2014, the total social production value had reached more than 112 billion VND, the economic growth rate reached more than 14%, the average production value per capita exceeded 28 million VND. Since then, people's lives have not only improved but the budget revenue during the term in the commune reached nearly 2 billion VND, exceeding the resolution target of 500 million VND; completing 11/19 criteria in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction.

In addition to the attention and active and effective investment of all levels and sectors, the rapid development of the local economy has contributed to improving the quality of cultural, social and educational activities in the area. In particular, the education sector has achieved many high results in both general and key quality, effectively implementing the innovation of management and enhancing the responsibility of the teaching staff. 2 Primary and Kindergarten schools have achieved National Level I standards.

During the term, the commune has also focused resources and effectively combined policies from higher levels to strengthen poverty reduction. Therefore, the poverty rate has decreased year by year, now only 2.75%. The activities of the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have been improved in the direction of being proactive, creative, effective and promoting widespread grassroots democracy; standardizing and improving the quality of cadres and civil servants; closely coordinating activities between departments, branches and mass organizations, thereby successfully completing the political tasks of the locality.

Nghia Son commune has focused on Party building work, demonstrating the Party's leadership role in all areas, building an increasingly strong political system. To achieve this, from the beginning of the term, the commune Party Committee has proactively grasped, oriented ideology, and strengthened the trust of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the Party's leadership. In particular, Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th tenure) and Directive 03 of the Politburo on continuing to promote studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh have been seriously and extensively implemented, bringing about practical results. Through review and self-criticism in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th tenure), the commune Party Committee identified 5 issues that need to be done immediately; 12 subordinate Party cells identified 45 tasks that need to be focused on after the review. The results of implementing the tasks that need to be done immediately have created positive changes in all areas, strengthening the people's trust in the Party.

In addition, the most prominent and clear point through the implementation of Directive 03 is that among cadres and party members, the spirit, responsibility for work, awareness of practicing thrift, fighting waste and bureaucracy have been raised; actively cultivating and training qualities, ethics and lifestyle. Therefore, in the 2010 - 2015 term, the number of affiliated party cells classified as clean and strong reached 78.4%/75% of the plan; there were no weak party cells or those that did not complete their tasks. The number of party members who completed their tasks or better reached 99.8%, of which 14.3% of party members who completed their tasks excellently. The commune party committee was assessed by the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee as clean and strong throughout the term.

In the 2015 - 2020 term, the Party Committee of the commune determined to continue to effectively lead in the spirit of: "Active innovation - solidarity - democracy - creativity - development" to promote and mobilize maximum resources for investment and development to create a breakthrough shift in all fields. Accordingly, strive for an average annual economic growth rate of 9 - 9.5%. In 2020, the average production value per capita will reach more than 47 million VND; the budget revenue in the area will reach more than 3.5 billion VND; the total social production value will reach nearly 190 billion VND. The economic structure continues to shift towards increasing the proportion of trade and services, reducing the proportion of agriculture, in which the proportion of trade and services will reach 64%. At the same time, Nghia Son is determined to build a commune that meets the criteria for building a new rural area by 2017. The Party Committee of the commune strives to achieve the standard of a strong rural area throughout the term. Regarding national defense and security, the commune aims to achieve a safe, combat-ready, and comprehensively strong base; by 2020, the Commune Military Command and Police Department will strive to achieve the title of "Determined-to-Win Unit"...

The 5th Party Congress of Nghia Son Commune, term 2015 - 2020 took place in the context of the country's economy on the path of recovery; the province is implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An until 2020. Therefore, the Party Committee and people of Nghia Son are not only confident but also strive to create important and breakthrough developments during the term, building the commune into a bright spot, a development pole among the top in the Northwest region of Nghia Dan district, contributing worthily to the overall development of the district and the province.
