Plane crash in Bahamas, 9 people died

The Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation said authorities have arrived at the scene of the plane crash and will investigate the accident.

Bahamas authorities announced that on November 9, a plane crashed en route to Grand Bahama Island, killing all nine people on board.

The Lear 36 Executive Jet took off from the Bahamas' capital Nassau and crashed while attempting to land at about 5 p.m. local time at Freeport, according to a statement from the Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation.

“The Civil Aviation Authority has unofficially advised that the aircraft involved in the crash was destroyed and there were no survivors,” the Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation said.

The Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation added that authorities have arrived at the scene of the crash and will conduct a full investigation on the morning of November 10, and will urgently work to determine the cause of the accident and the identities of the victims.
