Plane crashes in Bahamas, 9 killed.

The Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation said that authorities have arrived at the crash site and will conduct an investigation into the accident.

The Bahamian authorities announced that on November 9th, a plane crashed en route to Grand Bahama Island, killing all nine people on board.

According to a statement from the Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation, the Lear 36 Executive Jet took off from Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, and crashed while attempting to land at approximately 5 p.m. (local time) in Freeport.

"The Civil Aviation Authority has unofficially announced that the crashed aircraft has been destroyed and there are no survivors," the Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation said.

The Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation added that authorities have arrived at the crash site and will conduct a full investigation by the morning of November 10th, while also expeditiously determining the cause of the accident and the identities of the deceased victims.

Grand Bahama Island is located approximately 70 miles (112.6 km) east of Florida, USA. Previously, on August 18th, a private plane also crashed off the coast of this island. Rescue teams later recovered four bodies from the water.
