“The Vietnam Olympic team has a very even and quality squad. The players have very good techniques,” Mr. Razip shared. “In particular, in your squad, there is a player wearing the number 10 shirt (Cong Phuong) who plays very well and energetically. He will definitely be a danger to our defense.”

In the friendly match between Vietnam Olympic team and Uzbekistan Olympic team at Thong Nhat Stadium on March 14, Cong Phuong was allowed to play the entire match. If he was lucky, the striker, former captain of Vietnam U19 team, would have scored that day.

Although he highly appreciated the Vietnam Olympic team, coach Razip Ismail also set a target of winning all three points in the opening match of the qualifying round. “The Japanese Olympic team has a superior level in this group. Therefore, the competition will be between the Vietnam Olympic team and the Malaysian Olympic team. This is a very important match so we are determined to win to calculate for the following matches,” he emphasized.

The match between Olympic Malaysia and Olympic Vietnam will take place at 20:45 local time (19:45 Hanoi time) on March 27.
