Authorities uncover human trafficking ring smuggling people into China.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Security Investigation Agency of the Nghe An Provincial Police has just uncovered a network organizing people to illegally cross into China.

Around midnight on April 7, 2015, on National Highway 1A in Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district, the Security Investigation Department, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An province, inspected a passenger bus traveling from Vinh city to Hanoi. They discovered 10 people (8 men and 2 women) on board who were attempting to illegally cross into China. Immediately, all of them were taken to the Nghe An Security Investigation Department headquarters for questioning.

Through urgent questioning, the police determined that all of these individuals were from Nghe An province and lacked identification documents. They were being trafficked to China by Nguyen Van Hai (born in 1972), from Nghi Lien commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province, and Hai was also traveling on the bus. Upon boarding the bus, each person was initially required to pay Hai between 3 and 4.5 million VND.

Currently, the Nghe An Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and clarify any irregularities in this case.
