Commenting on the defeat of the Vietnam futsal team, coach Bruno Gracia shared: “The players played very well in the first 35 minutes. The score of 3-2 in favor of the Colombian team speaks for itself. In this match, the Vietnam futsal team missed many unfortunate scoring opportunities.”

Colombia quickly asserted their class as the team that reached the semi-finals of the 2012 Futsal World Cup with a 3-goal lead. But the Vietnam Futsal Team did not give up. With nothing left to lose, Bruno Garcia’s team rose up strongly. And those efforts were rewarded with 2 goals from Van Vu and Anh Tung.

However, the inexperience of the young players in the decisive moments of the match led to the Vietnamese futsal team losing 3 more goals in the last 5 minutes, thereby accepting defeat with a final score of 2-6.

So after 2 group stage matches, Vietnam futsal team has lost all, scored 3 goals and conceded 14 goals. That is not a surprising result, because the 2 opponents: Brazil is the reigning world champion and Colombia just participated in the semi-final match at the recent futsal world cup.

Above all, this is a useful training session for Mr. Bruno Garcia's team. Obviously, there is no better opportunity for the Vietnam futsal team to gain experience than when facing world-class teams like at the Grand Prix.

According to plan, at 11:00 p.m. tonight (November 15), the Vietnam futsal team will play the 5th-6th place match with Costa Rica.
