Implementing the policy of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, in recent years, the movement of farmers competing in good production and business has truly been one of the three major movements launched by the Central Committee. Responding to this movement, Nghe An farmers have enthusiastically competed in labor production with the will to overcome poverty, strive to enrich their families, hometowns and countries, bringing the movement of farmers competing in good production and business to continuously develop in both breadth and depth, attracting hundreds of thousands of farmers to participate in economic development, poverty reduction, improvement and enhancement of life, contributing to promoting the cause of industrialization and modernization of agriculture, rural areas and new rural construction.

Up to now, the whole province has 467 communes, wards and towns with Associations with 5,631 branches. In 3 years, more than 33,830 new members have been admitted; bringing the total number of members to 521,092, accounting for 91.02% of the total number of farmer households. In the period of 2012 - 2014, with 343,515 member households, farmers registered to achieve the title of good farmers in production and business at all levels, accounting for nearly 60% of the total number of farmers in the province.

The number of farmer households achieving the title of good production and business households at all levels by 2014 was 98,021, of which 432 households were at the central level (an increase of 189 households), 3,407 households at the provincial level (an increase of 1,407 households), 11,462 households at the district level (an increase of 3,998 households), and 82,720 households at the commune level (an increase of 45,756 households). Many districts, cities, and towns have a high number of households registering and achieving the title of "good production and business farmers" such as: Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Quynh Luu, Nghia Dan, Nam Dan, Do Luong, etc.

At the conference, a number of presentations shared good and effective ways to develop household economies in some regions, such as: the integrated farming and livestock model of Ms. Nguyen Thi Cau (Thai Hoa Town) or the integrated farming and livestock model in the highlands of Mr. Tho Ba Vu (Tri Le Commune, Que Phong); the forest farm model, livestock and poultry farming and construction services of parishioner Nguyen Huu Kim (Anh Son)...

The 9th Conference of Delegates of Good Farmers and Businessmen of Nghe An Province (2012-2014 period) aims to commend and honor typical good farmers and businessmen, shining examples of the spirit of persistent work, creativity, dynamism, self-reliance to overcome all difficulties and challenges, effectively absorb scientific and technological advances and new technologies into economic development, access to market mechanisms to rise up to become rich; at the same time, be ready to create conditions to help disadvantaged households rise up to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, which demonstrates the good nature and mutual love of the Vietnamese people.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Duy Luong highly appreciated the dynamism and creativity of Nghe An farmers in implementing the Party's policies and guidelines, having the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, not resigned to poverty, determined to enrich themselves and society.
