(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 15th, the Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial to hear the case of illegal drug trafficking against Luong Thi Hang (born in 1990, residing in Yen Hoa commune, Tuong Duong district).

During questioning at the police station, Hang confessed that she had purchased the drugs on order from a man named Luu. She was caught red-handed by law enforcement while carrying out the transaction. However, because she was pregnant, she was released on bail on August 29, 2012, to give birth. When her son was 1.5 months old, her husband died in an accident. Afterward, Hang left her child with her mother-in-law and fled the area. In September 2014, Luong Thi Hang was arrested on a warrant. Luong Van Huong was brought to trial in 2013.
At the trial, Hang sincerely confessed to her crime and hoped for leniency from the law so she could raise her child. However, considering Hang's serious crime, which negatively impacted social security and order, and her subsequent escape from the area after committing the crime, the court sentenced Luong Thi Hang to 30 months in prison.
