Arrested 18 subjects gambling by shaking the dice

(Baonghean.vn) - The Department of Investigation Police on Social Order Crimes of Nghe An Province Police said it had just arrested 18 subjects gambling by shaking dice in Yen Thanh District, seizing more than 45 million VND and many related evidences.

The subjects were arrested at the Investigation Agency.

Receiving information from the people at the house of Chu Van Loan (born in 1981) in hamlet 10A, Bao Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, there was a group of people gathering to gamble by shaking dice, the Department of Police Investigation of Social Order Crimes quickly assigned forces to the scene to verify the source of information.

Here, at around 11pm on May 5, using professional measures, the Department of Investigation Police for Social Order Crimes caught 18 subjects gambling with each other by shaking the dice, including: Chu Van Loan, Nguyen Trong Phuc (born in 1989), Nguyen Danh Tinh (born in 1982), Dang Quang Hoang (born in 1993), Vo Quang Ngoc (born in 1994), Nguyen Trong Truong (born in 1976), Nguyen Trong Duc (born in 1995) and Nguyen Van Thang (born in 1970) residing in Bao Thanh commune; Tran Trung Uy (born in 1991), Nguyen Huu Hai (born in 1979), Thai Ba Cuong (born in 1991), Tran Khac Thanh (born in 1986) and Ho Van Chuong (born in 1985) residing in Vien Thanh commune; Phan Van Hong (born in 1971) and Nguyen Dang Tuong (born in 1973) residing in Vinh Thanh commune; Thai Minh Tien (born in 1949) and Thai Ba Hang (born in 1966) residing in Lien Thanh commune; Thai Van Hoan (born in 1982) residing in Trung Do ward, Vinh city.

Evidence seized from the gambling mat included 4.4 million VND, a set of dishes and 4 dice. Searching the scene and the suspects, the authorities seized an additional 41,050,000 VND, 12 mobile phones and some related evidence.

At the police station, the suspects confessed to all their crimes. Accordingly, Chu Van Loan opened a coffee shop at home, so the suspects often came here to gamble. It is known that the suspects did not have stable jobs. Among them, Nguyen Danh Tinh (born in 1981), residing in Hamlet 10B, Bao Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh, was the one who shook the dice and weighed the dice for the gamblers to bet on odd or even.
