Checking the progress of the National Highway 1 - Nghia Dan - Thai Hoa project.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 31st, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and his delegation inspected the progress of the road project connecting National Highway 1A in Nghia Dan district and Thai Hoa town, and the road project connecting National Highway 1 - Thai Hoa to the Nghia Dan MDF wood processing factory. Accompanying them were Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Transport, leaders of Nghia Dan district, Thai Hoa town, Quynh Luu district, and the contractors.

The road project connecting National Highway 1A - Nghia Dan District - Thai Hoa Town has a total length of 29km, passing through Hoang Mai Town (9km), Quynh Luu (9km), Nghia Dan (9.5km) and Thai Hoa Town (1.5km). The starting point at km0 intersects with National Highway 1A at km 385+990 and connects with National Highway 48 at km 30+609. The project has a total investment of 855 billion VND, with 387 billion VND already allocated and 343 billion VND of construction completed, reaching 54%. To date, 3 out of 7 bridges have been completed, and girders have been installed on 5 out of 7 bridges; the Hoang Mai 0+400 bridge has had 4 out of 16 bored piles constructed, and the railway overpass at km 1+660 has had its substructure completed and 11 out of 18 girders cast.

Regarding land clearance, 98% has been handed over, and construction has progressed to 29/29 km. Currently, there are still land clearance issues for 0.3 km through Hoang Mai town, 0.1 km through Quynh Luu district, and 0.2 km through Thai Hoa town. Furthermore, due to limited allocated funds, the investor has only been able to carry out construction intermittently, leading to delays in the planned schedule.

Currently, regarding the implementation of the project to repair and upgrade the branch road connecting Trung-Binh-Lam road in Nghia Dan district, with Nghia Dan district as the investor (including 2 main routes: Route 1 connecting from Nghia Trung, Nghia Binh and Nghia Lam communes to Hoang Mai road to Thai Hoa, with a length of over 1.4km, road scale of level 5 - mountainous area; Route 2, connecting from Hoang Mai road to Thai Hoa to Nghia Dan MDF wood factory, with a length of 2.8km, road scale of level 3 - mountainous area), the current condition of both routes is that the roadbed is unpaved, the road surface is narrow and degraded, so investment capital has been allocated for upgrading and widening.

After conducting on-site inspections and listening to reports from contractors, departments, and localities, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien directed: The Department of Transport and relevant provincial departments must coordinate with the contractor, General Corporation 36 - Ministry of National Defense, to quickly resume construction on the entire route, meeting the set progress requirements for the project to build the road connecting National Highway 1A - Nghia Dan - Thai Hoa town. Districts must resolve all outstanding issues as soon as possible, and at the same time, improve the management of traffic safety corridors, preventing the recurrence of encroachment and illegal construction as has occurred. Regarding the branch road project connecting Trung-Binh-Lam road in Nghia Dan district, which is under the investment of Nghia Dan district, the locality needs to focus capital, accelerate progress, complete the roadbed, and proceed with paving and asphalt surfacing in a timely manner to serve the transportation needs of the people and the transportation of raw materials for the Nghia Dan MDF wood factory at the beginning of next year.
