Arrested 5 subjects stealing telephone cables

(Baonghean.vn) - At 4:00 a.m. on May 25, 2015, Vinh City Police and Nghi Lien Commune Police coordinated to catch a group of young men red-handed selling 33 kg of copper wire at Hong Lien kiosk in Hamlet 15, Nghi Kim Commune, Vinh City.

The subjects were arrested at the investigation agency.

Seized evidence

The subjects include: Mai Thanh Vu, Nguyen Van Toi - residing in Hamlet 10 Nghi Lien, Nguyen Duc Tu, Nguyen Dinh Cong - residing in Hamlet 7 Nghi Lien Commune, Nguyen The Duc - Block 5 Nghi Loc National Assembly Office. Through investigation, the subjects confessed that from May 3, 2015 to now, they have committed 5 thefts of 550 meters of copper cable for communication services managed by Nghi Loc Telecommunications Center. The estimated damage is nearly 150 million VND. After the theft, the subjects burned the plastic cover to get copper to sell 4 times for 5,275,000 VND and the last time they consumed 33 kg of copper before being arrested. Currently, Vinh City Police are coordinating with Nghi Loc Police to investigate and clarify the case./.
