In 2009 - 2010, the school had 7 training majors, with a student population of 4,000. Now the school has 12 majors, with a student population of 5,500 - 6,000, and an annual enrollment of 2,100 - 2,500. The average graduation rate is over 95%, with the good and excellent rate reaching approximately 70%. After graduation, most students have jobs and are able to develop their professional skills.

The Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the school always pay attention to leading the construction of a suitable organizational structure, developing a team of cadres and lecturers with sufficient quantity and professional qualifications to meet the development requirements of the school. The Party Committee has proposed many solutions to improve the quality and leadership capacity of grassroots party organizations, directing innovation and improving the quality of propaganda work, political and ideological education. Effectively implementing the Resolution of the Central Committee 4 (11th term) "Some urgent issues on Party building today" associated with the implementation of Directive No. 03 of the Politburo on continuing to promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral example. At the same time, paying attention to training and creating sources for developing party members, especially young lecturers and students; in the past 5 years, 50 party members have been admitted, of which 34 are cadres and teachers.

To achieve the goals for the 2015 - 2020 term, the Party Committee focuses on leading and directing the completion of the organizational structure, perfecting the functions and tasks of the school's units. Fundamentally and comprehensively innovate educational and training activities; develop a sufficient number of staff, build a team of school officials, civil servants, and lecturers with capacity, qualifications, qualities, ethics, lifestyle, and a high sense of responsibility. Continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and democracy, constantly improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members, effectively implement Resolution No. 29 of the Party Central Committee (11th term) on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the conditions of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration.

Vinh Medical University continues to strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, exploit resources well, successfully implement the targets of the 15th Party Congress resolution, contributing to making Nghe An become the center of education and training, science and technology of the North Central region.

The Congress focused on discussing the successful implementation of goals and criteria, proposed solutions to implement the Party's general goals for the 2015-2020 term, elected the new term Executive Committee and elected delegates to attend the higher-level congress.
