Twenty-five years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Germany has recreated the border between East and West with 8,000 glowing white balloons.

The balloons are part of the Border of Light project. Nearly 13 kilometers (8 miles) of road along the old border will be lit up until sunset today, after which they will be released into the air. Photo: Reuters |
