(Baonghean.vn) - On April 24th, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vinh City organized an action ceremony for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam on April 30th, 1975 – April 30th, 2015.

Awarding scholarships to students

Currently, Vinh City has nearly 7,000 war invalids and 3,600 people exposed to Agent Orange. During the peak period of action for Agent Orange/dioxin victims, the Vinh City Association of Agent Orange/dioxin Victims provided support for the construction of one charitable house, 10 animal feed cutting machines, one mobile sales vehicle, one 1,500-liter stainless steel water tank, three scholarships for underprivileged students, and support for four households engaged in production and business, with a total value of 70 million VND.

Along with this activity, the City Association also organized a product introduction to stimulate demand and consumption for two victims of Agent Orange: a welding transformer from Mr. Le Ba Thanh in My Thuong hamlet, Hung Loc commune, and silk flowers from Ms. Phan Thi Yen in Hamlet 2, Hung Chinh commune.
