According to a VNA reporter in Beijing, within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, on the morning of November 9, at the National Convention Center in Beijing (China), the opening ceremony of the APEC CEO Summit took place.

Speaking at the conference, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized that the Asia-Pacific region has the fastest economic growth, the greatest potential and the most vibrant cooperation in the world, leading the recovery and development of the global economy. This region currently accounts for 40% of the world's population, 57% of global GDP and 48% of world trade.

Mr. Xi Jinping said that Asia-Pacific has entered a new stage of development, with finance, technology, information, and personnel exchanges reaching a high level. According to Xi Jinping, economies in the Asia-Pacific region need to step up efforts to build a partnership of mutual trust, win-win cooperation and build an open economy. In addition, economies need to explore new directions to promote growth and plan for comprehensive connectivity.

APEC CEO Summit is an important forum for leaders and businesses of APEC economies to dialogue and exchange. This is also the most influential business activity in the Asia-Pacific region.
